Founder, President and CEO
Arup Maity is the founding President and CEO of BlastAsia, Inc. He is an adjunct faculty at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) for Innovation Management & Agile Project Management since 2005 and is also the founder of SpringPH, a startup support subgroup under Philippines Software Industry Association (PSIA). He is a Director at PSIA for over the last 10 years, helping shape the industry through capability development, policy & marketing. Arup has a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering; and earned his masteral degree in business administration from AIM in 1997; certified in traditional PMP and Scrum Master for Agile. He has been living and working in Philippines since 1995.
VP for Enterprise Solutions
Aureo Castillo is BlastAsia’s VP for Enterprise Solutions. He also co-founded Workcentric Solutions Consulting, Inc. and has led strategic initiatives for it through partnerships with leading business analytics vendors including IBM, Microsoft and SAP. With this, Aureo has successfully established the brand name and reputation of Workcentric in the business analytics sector. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering.
Technology Management Group Head
Roy Saberon is a seasoned software developer that has more than 20 years of experience in the Information Technology practice. He has been exposed to several technologies and different platforms with focus on the web, mobile and desktop. He started as a Senior Software Engineer at BlastAsia in 2005 and later on moved to lead its Technology Management Group. He is responsible in leading R&D initiatives, designing continuous training programs for our developers, and providing consulting services for the different development teams within BlastAsia to optimize technology implementation and recommend appropriate technology and software architectural design applied to projects.
Roy had his Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from AMA University and earned several Microsoft certifications as such MCSD, MCAD, and MCP. He had been tapped to assist TESDA, a government agency responsible in developing skills development programs, and had worked with other technology experts in designing training curriculum for the ICT sector.
AVP for Business Development
Tinette holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, and started her career as a Software Engineer in Microsoft Technology practice. Prior to joining BlastAsia, she has been doing research and development work for a government owned corporation in the Philippines. Earlier in her career as software developer, she was exposed to different business applications development for a private software development company based in the US, developing software architecture and system specifications design for manufacturing, real estate and financial industry. She started with BlastAsia as a Systems Analyst in 2002 and moved on to the Project Management field until the early part of 2005 before taking on the challenge in solutions selling.
Her role in the innovation of the company’s service business is to bring to the table the latest technological demand in the market and develop programs that will strengthen capabilities of the company’s technical workforce.
QA Director and Head of MIS
Jun Sionson heads both the Quality Assurance and the MIS groups of BlastAsia. One of the key achievements under his leadership is the implementation of quality assurance processes and information security, earning BlastAsia the distinction of being an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified company. He is currently involved with risk management, governance and compliance and management reporting for the company. A graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the De La Salle University, Jun has extensive experience in Information Technology; he started his career as a Software Engineer and developed mastery in database programming.
Head of Human Resource
As the head of HR, Jun Gener facilitates the smooth and profitable operation of a BlastAsia’s human resources department. Prior this role, he served as the Head of the Project Management Office and has been involved in systems development projects from varied verticals such as banking, health care industry, education, and retail and distribution for more than 10 years. Jun played a role in a USAID funded software development project in 1999 to 2002, instrumental for bringing Micro-Access to Banking Services methodology to the Philippines. Before joining BlastAsia, he was the General Manager and a member of the board of ASECSoft, Inc.
Maria Teresa Jasmin Villaluna
Chief Financial Officer
To oversee the company’s administrative, financial, and risk management operations is Tess Villaluna’s key role in BlastAsia. With her 25 years of experience in corporate finance, banking and controlling, Tess has proven her ability to develop productive teams while managing global stakeholders to achieve business goals. Prior BlastAsia, she served as AVP for Financial Reporting, VP for Financial Reporting and VP for Product Control successively at Deutsche Knowledge Services from 2005 to 2016. She had her Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of the Philippines and her masteral degree in business administration from AIM.
