Arup Maity

Founder, President, and CEO

Arup Maity is the founding President and CEO of BlastAsia, Inc. He is an adjunct faculty at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) for Innovation Management & Agile Project Management since 2005 and is also the founder of SpringPH, a startup support subgroup under the Philippines Software Industry Association (PSIA).

He is a Director at PSIA for over the last 10 years, helping shape the industry through capability development, policy & marketing. Arup has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, and earned his master’s degree in business management from AIM in 1997; certified in traditional PMP and Scrum Master for Agile.

  • Has been involved as part-time faculty contributing toward the development and implementation of the Executive Education program in the field of Information Technology and Project Management at the Asian Institute of Technology.


  • Is a Founding Member of Spring.ph, a software product incubation group under the Philippines Software Industry Association, its a non-profit association to help grow the technology startup ecosystem in the country, with an initial objective to have 10 globally recognized software products from the Philippines by 2016


  • Has been a Director of the Philippines Software Industry Association (PSIA), an industry association dedicated to promoting the Philippines Software Industry and its members in the global market as well as developing internal strength for the members to best meet the global standards
